STAR ECOTRONICS

The company has been founded in1987 develop, on customer request, specific software for industrial applications.Taking profit from the wide experience gained in system iintegration for data acquisition and treatment, in 1992 a specific division was created to supplyautomatic measurement and control systems.

This new segment of the company was initially dealing with the following market segments:

1. Automatic control systems for environmental parameters like temperature, relative humidity, pressure etc.
2. Automatic measuring systems for milk and dairy products

In the food and beverage market, Star Ecotronics has been very soon acknowledged as one of the most innovative companies as we have been taking profit from a wide range of international connections to introduce in Italy some new technologies and to sign exclusive representation agreements.

Two examples can be helpful to explain it better:

• in 1992 we installed in Italy the first FTIR spectrometer to analyze milk and dairy products chemical content
• in 1993 we have sold in Italy the first flow cytometer for the total bacteria count in milk

In the mean time Star Ecotronics started also developing new instruments that were not available in the market and that had an important range of application.These products are using, most of the times, state of the art technologies in electronics, computer science and metrology fields.

• AFLAFLESH-2 aflatoxyn B1 in cereals control system

Since over 5 years, Star Ecotronics is also a reference in our country for companies in the agro-food market that have to maintain or to acquire the accreditationfor their measurements on food, beverage and ambient controls.
